David Latter with his seedlings of the endangered Emerald Star. Only found near Emerald, the seedlings were grown by David and planted by Landcare to increase the tiny population of this beautiful local species.

WHERE:   Trumpington Grove, Kallista South

This road was made a couple of yeras ago and the road verges have been full of weeds. We've sprayed the area, will mulch it, and then plant in shrubs and ground covers as the locals don't want tall trees.

Go to Johns Hill Lookout on Ridge Road and follow the signs to the end of Trumpington Gve. Parking available on site.

WHEN:   Sunday July 27, 2008

10 am - 4pm Plus delicious barbecue.

TAKE CARE:   The site is along the roadside but some of it is a steep slope, and will probably be wet and a bit rough. There is the odd blackberry.


BYO: Cool and hot drinks. All other food supplied - muffins, cake and bbq (inc vegetarian and gluten free).

          Gloves and sturdy shoes. And waterproofs for the wind as well as possible rain.
